1.) What's your favorite fashion trend?
       Honestly, I like them all! I love wearing skinny jeans, bangs, and layering.
2.) Who's your fashion icon?
        I would most definitely have to say Twiggy. I love her look and she's just so cute!
3.) Where you've always wanted to live?
      New York! I've loved the place ever since i was little! I've never been there but i'd love to visit!
4.) Who's your favorite designer?
      Chanel! To me nothing can go wrong with Chanel. The fashion shows are amazing!
5.) What's your favorite shop?
       Forever 21! The clothes there are so cute and cheap too!
6.) What's your favorite movie?
        That's a tough question...mhm...I'd have to say Twilight but I also love Mean Girls, Avatar, Funny Face, and a lot of other movies!

         My best friend, lip gloss, and my converse

Today is my first outfit of the day! 

 

Sorry for my horrible hair loves! I didn't feel like doing it today! :) Well my shirt is from Forever 21. I love owls and when I saw this I fell in love! Shorts from Hollister. I promise to get better outfits! It's just that I'm moving tomorrow and because of that I had to pack most of my clothes! GRR. And because of that I also have to pack my computer tonight! So I might not be blogging for a while. Hopefully we unpack it tomorrow but if we don't then hopefully Saturday! :( I'll miss my loves! I'm addicted to blogging! As you see. That's why I did two posts today instead of the usual one! Well, I hope you guys liked my first OOTD!!

         

Fashion Icon of the week: Katy Perry

Hey loves! This weeks fashion icon is Katy Perry! She is one of my favorite singers. She started singing at the age of 9 at her church. She then learned to play the guitar at age 15 and released in album for Christian label Red Hill. This was unsuccessful. Katy then left her home at the age of 17 for Los Angeles where she worked for record label Island. The album was due in 2005 but Billboard also announced it went nowhere. Katy eventually signed over to Capitol Records. This is what eventually got her going. This started her album One of the Boys, with the hit single I Kissed a Girl. The album has reached number nine on the Billboard 200. Because of this Katy won several awards such as Best International Female Artist at the 2009 BRIT awards. Her second single Hot n Cold reached number three on Billboard's Hot 100. Perry's new album Teenage Dream will be out August 24. She has announced her own fragrance to be released in autumn of this year, named "Purr." Perry is known for her unique style. It's often bright in color. Her stylist describes her style as "very vintage and colorful." Katy is currently engaged to British comedian Russell Brand. 

Waris Ahluwalia: Jewelry Designer

Hello loves! Before I get into the topic for today I have some things to say! Well, first last night was so weird and strange at the same time! Shaurie has had this HUGE crush on this guy since 7th grade! And I mean HUGE! We stalked him in everything! Thankfully he didn't notice. ;) Well, yesterday we wanted to try something. We prank called him! At first it was just a stupid prank call. But then Shaurie wanted me to call him again and we ended up having a conversation. I was like "woah!" It was so weird! The sad thing was this year he moved and he wasn't at the same school. I had moved too so Shaurie had no one to stalk and no one to stalk with! We talked for like 20 minutes and we found out some things about him. It was something I would have never imagined would happen! When we said goodbye Shaurie and I talked about it till 2 in the morning! Yes, we are some crazy chicas! Shaurie was really proud of herself for actually talking to him and I was proud of her too! It's because Shaurie is SO shy when it comes to her crushes and I would always tell her to say something to him but she was too shy! So last night was something special! Shaurie was kinda awkward at times, though! She told him that his voice was hot and that he was hot! And I was on the line and I was like uhhhh. Haha! But! He told her that she was hot too! I was like OMG. All in all it was a really fun night. Shaurie and I have made a day each month where we call him. It's called Ben Day. Ben's his name. Well, all in all it was a really interesting night! Also, I'm moving in two days!! I'm so excited!

Waris Ahluwalia

Waris Ahluwalia is an American jewelry designer and actor. He imigrated with his family to the United States when he was five. He grew up in Brooklyn, New York and he is currently based in New York. He has also lived in Los Angeles and has traveled frequently to Rome, Italy, Japan, Rajasthan, India where most of his jewelry is made. His jewelry is sold through his company, House of Waris. Besides his jewelry Waris has played small roles in many movies. Some are I am Love(2010), which he plays Shai Kubelkian and another is The Inside Man(2006), where he plays the role of Vikram Walia. His jewelry is very contemporary and hip. 

 

"I am strongly influenced by the romance and history of Italy and India," says designer Waris Ahluwalia, who has ateliers in both countries. "I was in Rome doing a Wes Anderson film and fell in love with the history that permeates everything." Actress Cate Blanchett adores his jewelry. Same as Lauren Hutton and Chloe Sevigny. 

Waris's jewelry is gorgeous! It'd be cool to own some :)

Too cute shoes

Hey loves! Today went off to a rough start. You know, one of those days that you just want to end all ready? But I'm all better now! I feel refreshed and ready for a clean start. No, I didn't get dumped or anything. In fact, I've never had a boyfriend before. Lucky me!(I think..?) Anyways, to make me feel even better I'm going to show you shoes I really like. I know, it's kinda lame-ish but I'm feeling a bit down today, what can I say?

Fashion Icon of the week: Betsey Johnson

Betsey Johnson! I love all of her designs! Though they are expensive I would love to own a dress of hers! They're so different but they're gorgeous at the same time!  Maybe for senior prom I can get one of her dresses. That would be a dream! Whenever I see her store in the mall I want to just go in! One time me and Shaurie went to her store and we tried on her dresses! It was so much fun! I still remember what mine looked like! It was black and poofy and lacy. It fit me perfectly! Except on the bust! Of course....! It had this huge pink bow at the bust which was so pretty! That dress was gorgeous! Except it was like $2000? Expensive! Right? But it's totally worth it to have a gorgeous dress such as hers!

 Aren't her designs just fabulous? Ahhh...the sweetness of Betsey Johnson! I think she's one of the designers that no matter how old I get I'll always love her designs and dream to wear them someday. Betsey Johnson, come to me!!!!!! :)

Paris: City of lights, dreams, and glamour!

Bonjour! Ca va?  To me Paris is the city to be! Of course I've never been there but girls can dream, right? Someday I will visit there and I'll finally be able to see the Eiffel Tower! Paris has some great fashion and they have the worlds greatest fashion shows there at times! Chanel's Haute Couture 2010 fashion show was in Paris! The show was a hit! Also, Miu Miu was spectacular!

Hahaha. I think I got a bit distracted with these beautiful new fashions and forgot the topic of this whole post! Paris! Ugh. Well, these were all from Paris's fashion week! Anyways, Paris is a city full of glamor and life! Paris! The city of lights! City of dreams!

Louise Brooks: Fashion Icon

Louise Brooks was an American dancer, model, showgirl, and silent film actress. She was noted for popularizing the bobbed haircut. She is best known for her three roles in Pandora's Box, Diary of a Lost Girl, and Prix de Beaute'. She starred in 17 silent films. Louise Brooks was the queen of flappers. She wasn't really into talking and so her beauty became very popular in these silent movies. It's not that she wasn't good enough to be in talking movies the truth is she just wasn't really interested enough. Many of her films were heavily censored. This was because in that time sexuality was very shocking and "adult." Sadly on August 8, 1985, Louise Brooks was found dead from a heart attack. She was buried in Sepulchre cemetery in Rochester, New York. To me she was one to portray the beauty of female hood and she was one that was ever so classy.

Well, lately I've been loving reptile skins! I have this magazine and I was looking through it and they had this wonderful picture of reptilian shoes and bags! Although the page only consists of one tiny paragraph talking about it I became crazy over it! The design simply puts a boring outfit into a wild one! I suggest going in for the kill and try pairing up with some alligator booties! Or a gator tote! Fact is reptile skins is a look I would definitely go for!

Mac Dazzle glass: Like Venus

If you've tried any of Mac's lip gloss you probably understand why this is one of my obsessions! The lip gloss is so glossy it's hard to live without it for even one day. It smells heavenly and it lasts for such a long time. I am completely addicted to this lip gloss!
